Two days later and the Taste of Chaos tour rolled into Philadelphia, PA at the Festival Pier. For The Early November, Saosin, and The Starting Line this was a hometown show for them. After missing The Early November in Holmdel, I made sure to see them on the Philadelphia date. With the original lineup on stage, for 30 minutes, The Early November played a solid set, however, it was a shame “Fluxy” wasn’t thrown in the mix since Kenny Vasoli was there to possibly sing backups. Saosin put on an intense set with Anthony Green stage diving to the back of the crowd and climbing the soundboard stage. This band puts everything they got into their live shows. The special guest for this date was The Starting Line. I could go into detail about what this band means to me, in fact I wrote that here. Seeing The Starting Line again since 3 years ago was a great feeling. Kenny and company put on a fun show that should happen every summer. Closing the night was Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional in which both bands played their hearts out. Seeing both these bands on this tour and how many fans still care about what they do is a special thing. When the crowd is singing louder than the band, you know the band is doing something right.
