My last show at Musikfest this year, and my first time at the main stage. I wasn’t prepared for how big the stage was, it was almost like the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. It did make me start to think about getting a lens with a longer zoom. I will see how long that takes, but I think I did a fairly good job.
Opening the show was local natives, Trouble City All-Stars. Surprisingly I recognized half the band from around Bethlehem, and had no idea they play in a reggae fused band. They took the stage and performed an almost hour set. I think their music got everyone in the right mind set for what was to come. These guys and girl played a solid set and I’m surprised I haven’t seen them on more shows in the Lehigh Valley because I think they’d be good at getting any crowd hyped.

Coming on stage a little later than scheduled was the man himself, Snoop Dogg. Performing with a smile on his face and doing what he does best, Snoop Dogg put on a show any fan or casual fan would’ve loved. His setlist ranged from his hits to covers from 2 Pac, 50 Cent, Notorious B.I.G., Katy Perry, and even Joan Jett. Going back and forth on stage, Snoop Dogg showed his love for everyone. Even for the camera, however I lost those photos sadly. Ending the night with “Jammin'” by Bob Marley, Snoop Dogg made it known he will be back to Bethlehem again. Even though I’m a casual rap listener, I’d suggest everyone to check out Snoop Dogg’s live performance. He knows how to give the audience what they want, and leave them with a “high” from how good the show was.
