Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio and Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids, The New Amsterdams, and many others embarked on a solo North American tour this year from February to May with a stop at the infamous Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey.  Splitting headliner duties, both Matt and Dan perform songs spanning their musical career with a duet at the end of the night.  Asbury Park was treated with their cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Cecilia” and The Get Up Kids “Mass Pike”.  Also on the bill was New Jersey native Joe Michelini who is well known from River City Extension and now American Trappist.  Opening the show was Matt Pryor’s daughter Lily Pryor which shows Matt’s musical talents rubbed off on her.  She even made an appearance with her Dad on a few songs during his set.  Acoustic shows are always an enjoyable experience, but if there is one acoustic show to see this year, make it the Matt & Dan tour.  Seeing them perform their most celebrated songs stripped down is hands down the best double feature.
