I drive through Hackettstown, NJ almost everyday, about four times a week if you get my drift.  I usually take the back roads and always see the same things, I know the path so well I can probably drive it with my eyes closed.  Last year I made a trip out to the area to finally photograph one house in particular on an off day.  Now this house I know nothing about, but as the days go into years the massive hole gets bigger and bigger and the contents spill out more and more.  If I have to guess the house was abandoned maybe 10 to 15 years ago, and everything is still there including the beds, the washer, I think it is the washer, seems to be out back with a Jeep.  I didn’t attempt to enter the house for it looked cluttered and unsafe, especially with the hole visible out front.  This road hosts two other abandoned houses, but not in this state of decay, not even close.  I wonder how many other people are curious about this place and the history, but unfortunately in a matter of time it will be another forgotten place.  At one point this house was probably a home, a nice home, but time finally took control.
