It wasn’t Edge Day, but with the lineup, it should’ve been. Massachusetts’ Free, featuring members of Have Heart, played a weekend matinee show in Philadelphia and left The Fire ablaze. All six bands played intense, fast, and crowd participated sets. The bill also featured a surprise set from Kind! who weren’t listed on the bill, but were asked to play by Free and they continued the mayhem without slowing down. For the other four bands, it was clear that hardcore music will live on as each band featured younger musicians. Regardless of age, these bands are carrying the hardcore mantel and will not disappoint the others before them or older fans of the music.
