Me First & The Gimme Gimmes finished their East Coast run in the great state of New York at Webster Hall. PEARS, who I personally believe that if Henry Rollins and Iggy Pop formed a band this would be it, opened the show with what could possibly be the best live show I’ve seen in a long while. Disregard if you don’t like the music, but you have to admit lead singer Zach Quinn has a stage presence that hasn’t been seen in a long time. Masked Intruder put on their fun fueled show which featured Zach Quinn singing on their cover of NoFX’s “Linoleum”. Officer Bradford was in charge to ensure the crowd didn’t get too out of hand. Dressed as lounge singers, the best cover band ended the night. Me First & The Gimme Gimmes definitely played all the hits, from Paul Simon’s “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” to Boys II Men “End Of The Road”, you’d think you were attending a wedding or maybe a bar mitzvah. Even if you don’t know who Me First & The Gimme Gimmes are, you will know their songs. In fact, you’ll know all the words. For you west coasters, starting today Me First & The Gimme Gimmes kick off their West Coast leg of the tour. Do yourself a favor and get to one of these show and enjoy yourself.
