The Movielife are back! A month ago, The Movielife announced that there would be a new album out this Fall on Rise Records along with more shows and activity. To celebrate the announcement a handful of shows at intimate venues were also announced including a hometown show in Long Island at Amityville Music Hall. MakeWar from Brooklyn opened the show and The Flatliners followed who also are on Rise Records and in support of their latest album Inviting Light which came out on April 7th. However, when The Movielife came on, mayhem ensued. With bodies flying to the stage and Vinnie Caruana grabbing who he could to sing along, only one casualty was pronounced and that was a light fixture hanging from the ceiling. Busting through a 14 song set, The Movielife focused more on This Time Next Year, Has A Gambling Problem, and 40 Hour Train Back To Penn. No new material was played or older material, this may be due to the Navetta brothers not being present. It would later be known that moving forward The Movielife won’t feature the brother’s in the line up. Regardless of the reason why, The Movielife still bring the energy and still play the songs we all know and love. The most important part to remember is that they are back and we will have new music very shortly!
