Before going back into the studio to record their next album, Godsmack ended their touring circuit at Musikfest with a stunning performance. Local band from Lehighton, Another Day Dawns, opened the show and proved to the crowd they are your favorite new band. The members in Another Day Dawns performed with hunger and even made there way into the crowd during their set. Watch out for this band to make big waves in the coming years.
Following Another Day Dawns was New Zealand group Like A Storm. Having been around for over 10 years, Like A Storm are no strangers to putting an top notch stage presence. Performing only a handful of songs, Like A Storm songs got the crowd warmed up to Godsmack. Even though a good amount of fans were in the crowd, Like A Storm definitely gained a lot of new Lehigh Valley fans.
For Godsmack’s last performance before the next touring circuit, they threw in some surprises. Playing a sixteen song set with a stage show like no other that featured fire, fireworks, and a drum off, Godsmack puts on a phenomenal show. The men in Godsmack wanted to make this performance one for the audience to remember. However it wasn’t until the encore that the crowd was moved. With acoustic covers honoring Chris Cornell, “Hunger Strike”, and Chester Bennington, “Crawling”, Godsmack’s tribute was touching and a perfect way to end the night and tour.
